Employees of the University of Gdańsk will receive increases in their basic salaries with back pay from 1 January 2026. The distribution of funds allocated in connection with the increase in subsidies by the Minister of Science and Higher Education was worked out as part of an agreement between representatives of all UG trade unions and the Rector.

The amount of the basic salary increase for UG employees is:

1. PLN 230.00 gross for academic teachers;
2. PLN 185.00 gross for employees who are not academic teachers,

- calculated on a full-time basis and rounded up to full zlotys.

The increases agreed upon in the agreement with the trade unions will be paid with back pay from 1 January 2026 on the payment dates specified in the work regulations, i.e.:

- by 1 April 2026 - for academic teachers;

- by 31 March 2026 - for employees who are not academic teachers;

- by 10 April 2026 - for employees who are not academic teachers - service staff, sailors.
