Erste Award for students and doctoral students at the University of Gdańsk 2026

Applications are now open for the Erste Award programme, run by the University of Gdańsk in collaboration with Erste Bank Polska. This year, 64 students and doctoral students will receive one-off awards of 2,000 zł or 1,500 zł. Applications can be submitted until 2 November. The awards will recognise not only academic achievements and high grade point averages, but also involvement in social, sporting, cultural and personal development activities.

The Erste Award for Students and Doctoral Students of the University of Gdańsk 2026 programme is the result of the ongoing, fruitful collaboration between the University of Gdańsk and Erste Bank Polska. Its aim is to recognise 64 students and doctoral students who actively pursue their interests and engage with the academic community. Applications for the programme are now open!

'The agreement we have signed gives us another opportunity to reward students and PhD candidates who are particularly active in areas such as research or community work. Thanks to this collaboration, the financial scope for supporting the youngest members of our academic community is expanding. This is very good news as we enter the new academic year.” Both parties will endeavour to expand the scope of cooperation even further,' says the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, dr hab. Urszula Patocka-Sigłowy, prof. UG.

Criteria

The following will be taken into account when assessing applications:

  • academic performance,
  • research achievements,
  • community involvement (pro bono work),
  • sporting achievements,
  • cultural activities,
  • personal development activities.

Applications for the award can only be submitted via this form.

To complete it, you must be logged into the Office 365 service using your university email address.

The awards are scheduled to be paid out in the second half of December.
